- "You cannot be serious! You are going to leave all of this? Move to Mexico and make quilts? Puhleassse." More than one of my friends in California said those very words or something like it. That is not quite what I had said about making quilts. I said I was going to walk on the beach, write and sew. I was done with the mad rush of Silicon Valley. I have been sewing since I was about 9, and over time I learned to READ the pattern guide sheets, found my style, learned about good finishing, and discovered I could not live without sewing. And I cannot live without the beach. So here I am on the beach in Mexico. And I sew every day. Every day! And on this blog I will tell you about what I am making.
